The second half of 2005 has proved to be one of the most exciting phases in the growth of MAP, the highlight being our successful move to new offices in Main Road Sidcup. After a protracted series of negotiations, our team is now resident in spacious, modern offices that will allow room for continued expansion and to take on new initiatives.
The new offices extend on 2500sq ft and are conveniently situated for the surveyors to expand their expertise throughout South East London and North West Kent where the practice has undertaken work for over two decades.
The professional team has been further strengthened by the recruitment of Michael Heselden, a former Countrywide surveyor with twenty years experience in the residential property market. In addition, Leanne Selby has joined the administration team, having previously worked for both The Woolwich Building Society and Barclays Bank.
The Main Board Directors of MAP are committed in the short term to a comprehensive expansion programme, with particular emphasis on preparing for the requirements of the Government’s seller’s pack legislation. This will demand the further recruitment of more surveyors, home inspectors and associated administration and secretarial staff.
A recent arrangement with Quest, one of the major sources of mortgage-related business, has allowed the introduction of remote working, which will further enhance the opportunities for expansion of practice’s capabilities throughout London and Kent.
TROUBLE WITH YOUR HIPS?
As the day approaches with increasing speed for the introduction of the Government’s sellers pack legislation and the associated requirement of Home Information Packs to be prepared, MAP is in an ideal position to offer to complete Home Information Pack service to estate agents throughout the South East. Interested agents are directed in the first place to Garret O’Hanlon BSc. MRICS, Home Information Pack co-ordinator for MAP, who can be emailed directly via goh@maitlands.net or contacted by telephone on the usual office number.
